Minors Policy

Effective Date: March 8, 2025

For the purposes of this policy, our Terms of Service, and any other Upcyclers policies, any individual over the age of 13 and under the age of 18 is considered a “Minor.” Individuals under the age of 13 are not allowed to use Upcyclers or any of its services. If Upcyclers becomes aware of a User under the age of 13, we will permanently delete their account.

Minors may only use Upcyclers services if they have appropriate permission and supervision from their parent or legal guardian. Parent or legal guardian personal details will be required and will act as the "account owner" for "Seller" accounts. The parent or legal guardian name provided is subject to verification, and the named parent or legal guardian is responsible for any and all activity conducted on a Minor's account in accordance with our Terms of Service. Upcyclers may request additional information to verify such permission and the identity of a parent or legal guardian, including for the purpose of compliance, security, and fraud prevention. 

Not all redemption methods are available to Minors' accounts. If using a financial account of a parent or legal guardian, Minors should be listed as an authorized user. If a Minor is using their own financial account in their name, they may be required to provide additional information to verify their identity.

Please note, some features may not be available to Users under the age of 18, even with parent or legal guardian permission.

Minor Accounts & Age Restrictions

For the purposes of this policy, our Terms of Service, and other Upcyclers policies, a “Minor” refers to anyone under 18. However, Upcyclers has different rules for users under 13 and those aged 13-17:

Users Under 13

• Children under 13 are not allowed to use Upcyclers or any of its services.
• If Upcyclers becomes aware of an account belonging to a user under 13, we will permanently close the account in compliance with child privacy laws.

Users Aged 13-17 (Minors)

• Users aged 13-17 may use Upcyclers only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
• The parent or guardian’s personal details will be required and will serve as the official account owner for Seller accounts.
• The parent or legal guardian’s identity may be verified, and they are responsible for all account activity under Upcyclers' Terms of Service.
• Upcyclers may request additional information to verify permission and identity for security, compliance, and fraud prevention purposes.

Financial & Feature Restrictions for Minors (13-17)

• Some payout and redemption methods may be restricted for users under 18.
• If using a parent or guardian’s financial account, Minors should be listed as an authorized user.
• If a Minor is using their own financial account, additional verification may be required.
• Certain platform features may not be available to users under 18, even with parental or guardian consent.
